Display Indicator for Contactless Check-Ins and Check-Outs

Stay displays indicators for contactless check-ins and check-outs that are performed through any of the following methods:

  • Mobile application

  • Web check-in/check-out

  • Kiosk 

Feature Setting

The following feature setting must be enabled to allow users to select the type of contactless check-in and check-out methods supported by the property:

  • Name: Digital check-in and check-out methods

  • Value: Must be enabled

  • Comments: License is not required

When this feature setting is enabled, users can select the check-in and check-out methods for the property from the Digital Check-In & Out tab in the Cloud Settings screen (Interfaces Cloud Settings).

Users can select multiple check-in and check-out methods. When a contactless check-in or check-out is performed for a reservation, based on the status of the check-in or check-out, a badge is displayed on the following screens for the reservation:

  • Both Check-In and Check-Out badges are displayed on the following screens:

    • Reservation

    • Search: Displayed next to the confirmation number

  • The Check-In badge alone is displayed on the following screens:

    • Batch Operations Check-In: Displayed next to the confirmation number

    • Batch Operations Batch Edit: Displayed next to the confirmation number

    • Tape Chart: Displayed next to the guest name

For successful check-ins and check-outs, the badge is displayed for the reservations highlighted in yellow color.

When a contactless check-out is performed via any of the supported methods is unsuccessful, the badge is highlighted in red color and displayed on the following screens:

  • Reservation

  • Search

  • Batch Operations Check-In

  • Batch Operations Settle & Check Out

When users hover over the badge, the reason for the failure is displayed on the Reservation and Search screens. Users can proceed to check-out the reservations manually via Stay. When the check-out is successful, the badge will no longer be highlighted.

When users perform Undo Check-In for the reservations that were checked in digitally, the badge for the digital check-in is not removed. When users performed Undo Check-Out for a reservation that was checked out digitally, the badge for the digital check-out is removed for the reservation. For the reservations that are checked in digitally, the badge for the digital check-in is not removed when users perform an early check-in.

Users can filter reservations that are checked-in and checked-out digitally using the Digital filter. This filter contains the following options:

  • Default Check-In

  • Web Check-In

  • Web Check-Out

  • Mobile Check-In

  • Mobile Check-Out

  • Kiosk Check-In

  • Kiosk Check-Out

Based on the selected options, the reservations are displayed. This filter is available in the following screens:

  • Search

  • Batch Operations Check-In (only the check-in options are added to the filter)

  • Batch Operations Batch Edit (only the check-in options are added to the filter)

  • Tape Chart (only the check-in options are added to the filter)

  • Batch Operations Settle & Check Out (only the check-out options are added to the filter)

The digital check-in badge is displayed in the following Legacy reports:

  • Arrivals

  • In House Guest List Details

  • In House Guest List Summary

  • Housekeeping Check Off

  • Reservation Changes

  • Reservation Events

  • Reservations

The digital check-out badge is displayed in the following Legacy reports:

  • Departures

  • Departures By Date

  • Reservation Changes

  • Reservation Events

  • Reservations

The column, Digital, on the following Dynamic reports displays the type of digital check-in/check-out performed:

  • Arrivals

  • Housekeeping Arrivals

  • Reservations

  • Departures

  • Housekeeping Departures

  • Reservations

The badges are highlighted in yellow when the digital check-in and check-out performed is successful, and in red when the digital check-out is unsuccessful. The legend in the following Legacy reports to help users identify the badges displayed for the digital check-in and check-out performed.
