Searching for a Profile

This option allows users to manage and view information about the guests, companies, and travel agencies that do business with the property. The user can easily search for any existing profile.

Perform the following steps to search for a profile:

Navigate to Reservations ➜ Search ➜ Profiles. The Profiles tab is displayed.

To search the profile, enter the name of the guest, company, travel agent, city, state, country, primary address, email address, and phone number in the Search field, and click Go. Based on the entered details, the search results are displayed.

Refer to the following table and fill in the fields to search for a profile:

Guest	Displays guest profiles link to guest's reservations and allow users to manage guest preferences, interests, and unique habits
Company	Displays company profiles are for organizations that book business for themselves
Travel Agent	Displays travel agency profiles are for organizations that book business for other customers and receive commissions based on the revenue that they generate for the property
Profile
Active	Includes active profiles in the search
Archived	Includes archived profiles in the search

The following table lists the various scenarios of profile search:

Scenario	Example	Search Results
Search using the entire guest’s name	Doe, John	The records that exactly match the entered guest name are displayed. If multiple profiles are available for the entered name, the profile that was last created is displayed first.
Search using the first name/last name of a guest profile	John	The records that either have the first or the last name as the entered name are displayed. Order of display: John, Peter (last name is an exact match) Doe, John (first name is an exact match) Johnie, Nick (partial match) Jo…. (fuzzy search retrieves records where at least one character in the record matches the entered name)
Search using the company name on the guest profile	Agilysys	The guest profiles that exactly match the entered company name are displayed. The profile that was last updated with the entered company name is displayed first.
Search using the company profile name	Agilysys Technologies	The records that exactly match the entered company profile are displayed first, followed by the records that match partially, and the results of fuzzy search. Order of display: Agilysys Technologies (exact match) Agilysys Solutions (partial match) Ag… (fuzzy search retrieves records where at least one character in the record matches the entered name)
Search using the travel agent profile name	Booking.com	The records that exactly match the entered travel agent profile name are displayed first, followed by the records that match partially, and the results of fuzzy search. Order of display: Booking.com (exact match) Book.com (partial match) Bo…. (fuzzy search retrieves records where at least one character in the record matches the entered name)
Search using the email address associated with the profile	john@agilysys.com @gmail.com	The records that exactly match the entered email address are displayed. When a partial email address is entered, all the records that match the partial address are displayed (Joe@gmail.com, Jonah@gmail.com).
Search using the phone number on the profile	360-308-7853 7853	The records that exactly match the entered phone number are displayed. When a partial phone number is entered, all the records that match the partial phone number entered are displayed (345-7853, 67-7853). The profile that was created last is displayed first.
Search using the loyalty number associated with the profile	13DF17	The records that exactly match the entered loyalty number are displayed. Fuzzy search is not applicable for loyalty number search.
