Ability To Charge Deposit Per Guest

Stay is enhanced to allow properties to charge a deposit per guest. For example, a reservation is created with 2 adults and 2 children. The deposit amount is calculated at $10 per adult and $5 per child. So, a total amount of $30 is charged as a deposit amount for the reservation.

To support this feature a new option, Per Guest, is added to the deposit policy configuration settings (Settings ➜ All Settings ➜ Reservations ➜ Policies and Codes ➜ Deposit Settings ➜ Deposit Policies ➜ Add). The option is available for selection when configuring both Immediate and Scheduled deposit policies.

  • Scheduled tab under the Deposit Calculation section (Scheduled ➜ Deposit At The Time Of Booking) and (Scheduled ➜ Remaining Deposit Schedule ➜ Charge By).

When the Per Guest option is selected, the following changes are made to the Deposit Calculation section:

  • Two new fields, Per Adult and Per Child are displayed.

  • The Auto Recurring Fees and Estimated Taxes checkboxes are disabled.

Users can configure the deposit amount to be collected for each guest respectively and click Save. The Save button is enabled only if a value is entered in the Per Adult and Per Child fields. displayed in the following areas:

  • Estimated Charges section (Reservation Summary).

  • Deposit Due section (Batch Operations).
