Ability to Mask Guest Names
Stay is enhanced to provide property users with an option to mask guest names or provide an alias name for guest names, associated as a Non-Registered Guest. Previously, users could view the guests name even when the NRG icon was enabled. Now, users can avoid exposing the guest’s original name and instead the alias name or the masked name will be displayed.
Users can either mask or provide an alias name to a Non - Registered Guest by clicking on the NRG icon in the Reservation Summary section of the Reservation page, or, from the Other section in the Booking Model. The guest’s name will be hidden in the following places:
-

To support this enhancement, a new feature setting, Enhanced Non-Registered Guest (Reservations), is added. When enabled, the Non-Registered Guest screen will be displayed where users can choose to mask or provide an alias name for the guest.
This screen is displayed whenever the user clicks on the NRG icon in the Reservation Summary section of the Reservation page, or, in the Other section of the Booking model.
The existing Reservation Alias feature setting must also be enabled to be able to provide an alias name for the Non-Registered Guest. This is applicable only when users have the new permission, StayManageNRGReservations, added to their roles. This permission is added to the following roles:
-
System Administrator
-
Stay Hotel Manager
-
GSA Supervisor
Perform the following actions to mask or provide an alias name for the guest name marked as NRG in the Reservation page:
