New Applicable For Option for Add-Ons and Packages

Stay is enhanced to allow users to apply the fixed and allowance components of an add-on on a per reservation basis when creating and modifying add-ons in a property.

Previously, add-on components could be applied to the following only: per room, per person, and age categories available in the property.

To support this enhancement, a new option, Per Reservation, has been added to fields in the following screens when choosing a fixed and allowance component for an add-on:

  • Charge Based On (Settings ➜ Rates ➜ Add-Ons ➜ Add/Edit ➜ Components tab ➜ Add Allowance)

  • Applicable For (Settings ➜ Rates ➜ Add-Ons ➜ Add/Edit ➜ Components tab ➜ Add Charge)

When the Per Reservation option is selected, the add-on component is applied once per reservation, based on the selected frequency as follows:

Charge Every Night

For example, consider the following configurations for an add-on applied to two reservations of 5 nights and 4 nights respectively:

  • Charge: $5.00

  • Frequency: Every Night

  • Applicable For: Per Reservation

In this scenario, the add-on is applied once per reservation for each night of Stay. The total charge of the add-ons for both the reservations is calculated as follows: ($5.00 * 5) + ($5.00 * 4) = $45.00.

Charge First Night Only

For example, consider the following configurations for an add-on applied to a reservation of 5 nights:

  • Charge: $5.00

  • Frequency: First Night Only

  • Applicable For: Per Reservation

In this scenario, the add-on is applied once per reservation on the first night of stay. The total charge of the add-ons is calculated as follows: $5.00 *1 = $5.00.

Charge Last Night Only

For example, consider the following configurations for an add-on applied to three reservations of 5 nights, 4 nights, and 3 nights respectively:

  • Charge: $5.00

  • Frequency: Last Night Only

  • Applicable For: Per Reservation

In this scenario, the add-on is applied once per reservation on the last night of stay for each of the three reservations. The total charge of the add-ons is calculated as follows: ($5.00 *1) + ($5.00 * 1) + ($5.00 * 1) = $15.00.

Choose Add-Ons for Reservations

When users select add-ons for reservations in the Choose Add-Ons pop-up screen (Reservation ➜ Estimated Charges ➜ More ➜ Choose add-ons), a new option, Per Reservation, is added to the Applicable For section of the screen. When this option is selected, the add-ons are applied once per reservation based on the selected frequency.

Selecting Add-Ons as Group Components

When users select allowance and fixed components for a group (Group ➜ Room Blocks ➜ Components tab ➜ Add/Edit Components), the Per Reservation option can be selected from the following fields displayed:

  • Add Allowance ➜ Charge Based on

  • Add Charge ➜ Applicable For

Selecting Components for a Package

When users select fixed and allowance components for a package, the Per Reservation option can be selected from the following fields displayed:

  • Settings ➜ Rates ➜ Packages ➜ Add ➜ Components tab ➜ Add Charge ➜ Applicable For

  • Settings ➜ Rates ➜ Packages ➜ Add ➜ Components tab ➜ Add Allowance ➜ Charge Based On

Records in Audit Log

A record is created in the Audit Log screen (Reports ➜ Audit Log) when add-ons are added to a reservation with the Per Reservation option selected.
