Retrieve Rates from Default Rate Plan for Unavailable Days

The Stay - Book integration is enhanced to retrieve rates from the default rate plan selected in the booking channel of the Book interface in Stay when there are no rates available for a partial duration of stay for a rate plan selected by guests in the Rooms & Rates page in Book.

For example, consider a rate plan, RP1, with valid start and end dates from Jan 05, 2025, to Jan 25, 2025. When guests book a reservation in Book for the RP1 rate plan from Jan 20, 2025, to Jan 30, 2025, the rates for Jan 20^th to Jan 25^th will be retrieved from the RP1 rate plan since rates are available for those days. For the dates Jan 26^th to Jan 30^th, the rates will be retrieved from the default rate plan selected in the booking channel.

Previously, the message, No rates are available, was displayed in the Rooms & Rates page in Book when rates were not available for the dates selected for a rate plan. Through this enhancement, guests can continue to book reservations using rate plans that are only available for a partial duration of stay.

This enhancement is applicable only when the stay dates selected by guests in the Rooms & Rates page overlap with the rate plan’s start and end dates. When the stay dates do not overlap with the rate plan’s validity, the message, No rates are available, will continue to be displayed as per the existing functionality.

To support this enhancement, the following changes have been made:

• The Include Default Rates for Unavailable Dates checkbox in the Rates Get section of the RGuest Book interface has been renamed as Include Default Rates for Unavailable Dates (For Casino Player). This checkbox is selected by properties to create reservations for casino patrons using rates from the default rate plan for dates unavailable in the selected rate plan.

• A new checkbox, Include Default Rates for Unavailable Dates (For All Reservation), has been added to the Rates Get section. This checkbox is selected by properties to create group and non-group reservations for guests using rates from the default rate plan for dates unavailable in the selected rate plan.

When these checkboxes are selected, the rates configured in the default rate plan selected in the booking channel of the Book interface (All Settings ➜ Administration ➜ Interfaces and Channel Management ➜ Booking Channels ➜ Select the booking channel for Book ➜ Assign rate plans/packages) is retrieved and displayed in Book for the dates unavailable for the rate plan selected by guests.
