Stay - Comtrol Integration Enhancements

The Agilysys Stay - Comtrol integration is enhanced to support the following functionality:

  • Request unread messages for a guest

  • Notifications for delivered messages

  • Notifications for new guest messages

  • Notifications for selection of preferred language of guest

  • Send reservation details encoded in Track 2 format

Request Unread Messages for a Guest

Users can perform an account lookup in Comtrol to request the unread reservation messages available for a guest. The account lookup is performed using the following:

  • Room number assigned to the reservation

  • Account number of the account used for charging the guest

  • Account number

  • Account number and message number

  • Account number and room number

  • Account number, room number, and message number

  • Room number

  • Room number and message number

When an account lookup is performed, a response is sent from Stay to Comtrol that includes the following details:

  • The recipient of the message

  • The date and time when the messages were received

  • The sender details along with the location and phone number

  • The body of the message

When the room number of account ID used for performing the account lookup is not found in Stay, a response is sent to Comtrol to indicate that the messages were not retrieved successfully.

Notifications for Delivered Messages

Stay is notified by Comtrol once the reservation messages are delivered to the guest. A response is sent from Comtrol to Stay indicating if the messages must be marked as Read or Deleted in Stay.

Notifications for New Guest Messages

A notification is sent from Stay to Comtrol that displays the count of pending voicemail messages and text messages available for a guest. The count of the messages available for a room number or account ID is sent from Stay.

Notifications for Selection of Preferred Language of Guest 

A notification is sent from Stay to Comtrol for the preferred language selected by a guest staying in a room. The notification is sent for the following:

  • When the guest’s preferred language is modified in a reservation associated with the guest.

  • When the guest’s preferred language is modified in the guest profile.

  • When the guest’s first name or last name is modified

The notification sent from Stay includes the following details:

  • The preferred language of the guest

  • The room number assigned to the guest

  • The extension number of the phone extension associated with the room

Send Reservation Details Encoded in Track 2 Format

When requests for key generation or parking requests are created in Stay, the following reservation details are encoded in Track 2 format and sent to Comtrol:

  • Property ID

  • Reservation confirmation ID

  • Departure date and time

  • Count of guests in the room

  • Facility code

  • Parking voucher number

To support this enhancement, a new section, Track 2, has been added to the Comtrol interface in the Interface Channel Management screen (All Settings Administration Interface and Channel Management Settings Comtrol).

Facility Code

Enter the facility code obtained from the vendor.

Use Numeric Confirmation Numbers

Selected: When selected, the reservation reference number is sent in the parking request sent from Stay.

Deselected: When this checkbox is not selected, the confirmation ID of the reservation is sent in the parking request sent from Stay.

Track 2

Select the checkbox to send the reservation details to Comtrol encoded in Track 2 format.
