Support for Overbooking via Agilysys Book

Applicable for Agilysys Book for Rooms and Unit Bookings.

Stay is enhanced to support overbooking of rooms when integrated with Agilysys Book. This enhancement allows guests to view and create reservations for room types until the configured overbooking limit is reached. If an overbooking limit is set for the property, then this limit is also considered for reservations via Book.

Users can configure an overbooking limit in the Restrictions screen of the Calendar tab in the Rates screen. Once configured, reservations can be booked against the room type until the overbooking limit is reached. Once the limit is reached, the room type will not be available for booking.

To support this enhancement, a new flag, Allow Overbooking, is added to the Booking Channel screen for Agilysys Book interface. When enabled, guests can view and create reservations for room types, based on the threshold limit set in the Calendar, until the configured overbooking limit is reached. After the threshold limit is crossed, the room types are displayed as Sold Out in Book.
