Update Default Housekeeping Condition for Rooms after Expiry of Inventory Blocks

Stay is enhanced to allow users to configure the default housekeeping condition to which a room must be reverted once an On Hold and Out of Order inventory blocks created for a room expires.

The Reason for Inventory Blocks feature setting must be enabled, and the Require end time for on hold status checkbox in the Inventory Blocks section of the Housekeeping Setup screen (Settings ➜ Housekeeping) must be selected to use this feature.

Permissions

The following existing permissions must be assigned to use this feature:

• InventoryOOO

• InventoryOTM 

• ReadHousekeeping 

• WriteHousekeeping 

Default HK Condition for Inventory Blocks

Users can select the default housekeeping condition to which a room must be reverted once the On Hold inventory block expires from the Default HK Condition - On Hold field in the Inventory Blocks section (Settings ➜ Housekeeping ➜ Inventory Blocks). When the Require end time for on hold status checkbox is selected, an end time must be selected when creating an On Hold inventory block for a room.

Once the inventory block expires, the housekeeping condition of the room must be reverted to the condition selected from the On Hold field. This condition is also applied when the On Hold inventory block for a room is cleared either manually or automatically.

Update HK Condition Upon Check-Out

When the Enable Out of Order on Check-Out checkbox is selected for a property (Settings ➜ All Settings ➜ Rooms & room types ➜ Check-Out-Operations), an Out of Order inventory block is created for the room assigned to a reservation upon check-out.

Once the inventory block expires, the housekeeping condition of the room is reverted to the default housekeeping condition selected from the Default HK Condition - Out of Order field in the Inventory Blocks section of the Housekeeping Setup screen.

Display HK Condition in Tape Chart Screen

Once the On Hold or Out of Order inventory block created for a room expires, the default housekeeping condition to which the room is reverted is displayed in the Tape Chart screen. Users can view the default housekeeping condition for a room but cannot modify it.

Display HK Condition in Print

When the inventory blocks created for rooms are printed (Rooms Mgmt ➜ Housekeeping ➜ Inventory Blocks ➜ Select rooms ➜ Print), the default housekeeping condition configured is displayed in the Default HK Condition column of the printed document.

Reports

The default housekeeping condition configured for an Out of Order room block is displayed in the Default HK Condition column of the Out of Order Rooms report (Dynamic).
