Booking Channel

Users must perform the following configurations in Agilysys Stay for the rate plans to be displayed on the website for web reservations.

Fields displayed in the Booking Channels tab are similar for all OTAs (for example, SynXis, SiteMinder, and so on). Additional fields are displayed for Agilysys Book. Refer to the Ext - Agilysys Book for Stay Configuration Guide to configure booking channels for Agilysys Book.

Perform the following steps to set up a booking channel for an interface:

Click on Add A Channel.

Enter values for the following fields.

Field	Description
Name	This is a mandatory field that allows users to configure a unique name for the booking channel.
Code	This is a mandatory field that allows users to configure a unique code for the booking channel.
Interface	This is a mandatory single-select drop-down list that allows users to select from the list of interfaces configured in the Settings tab of the Cloud Settings screen. Reservations are created using the booking channel for the selected interface.
Active	Select this checkbox to activate the booking channel.
Rate Plans/Packages	Click on the Assign rate plans/packages hyperlink to select the rate plans and packages for the booking channel in the Assign Rate Plans/Packages pop-up screen.
Default Business Source	This is a mandatory single-select drop-down list that allows users to select a default source of business for reservations created using the booking channel.
Default Guest Type	This is a mandatory single-select drop-down list that allows users to select a default guest type for reservations created using the booking channel.
Default Market Segment	This is a mandatory single-select drop-down list that allows users to select a default market segment for reservations created using the booking channel.
Booking Limit	The total rooms available to be booked at the property, that is, the maximum number of reservations that can be booked using the booking channel.
Minimum Rate	The minimum rate at which a reservation must be booked using the booking channel. Reservations cannot be booked below the threshold limit configured using the rate plans associated with the booking channel.
Third Party Reservation Source	This is a mandatory single-select drop-down list that allows users to select a third-party reservation source that must be applied to the reservations created through the channel.
Description	A description for the channel.
Pay by third party	Select this checkbox to flag all reservations created through the booking channel as paid for by third-party. When selected, the Payment Type option of Direct Bill is enabled which allows the user to select an account to which the reservation charges must be routed.
Do not disclose rates to guest	Select this checkbox to hide the nightly room rates of the reservations created through the channel.
Update auto recurring charge on modify stay	Select this checkbox to update the recurring charges applied when a reservation using the booking channel is modified.
Payment Type	Select the Pay by third party checkbox to select the Direct bill option. When selected, users can select an account to which the reservation charges must be routed.

Click Save. The booking channel is now successfully added to Agilysys Stay.
