Display Reason for Key Revocation/Expiration
Stay displays an indicator when the digital keys generated for a reservation are revoked. The reason for the revocation is displayed as an indicator in the following areas:
-
Reservation Summary à Digital Key (DK) badge
-
Reservation à Key à Digital Key Status
-
Search à Reservation à Key revoke/expire icon
Key Expiration
When digital keys are generated for a reservation, the digital key status is updated to Issued in the Key section of the reservation. The keys expire when the reservation is checked out or when the expiration time configured is reached. When the keys expire, only the key status will be updated to Expired. The reason for the expiration will not be displayed. The Digital Key (DK) badge in the Reservation Summary section of the reservation will be highlighted in red and when users hover the badge, the status will be displayed as Expired.
A record is created in the History tab of the Key section when digital keys expire with the event type displayed as Key Expired.
Key Revocation
When users manually revoke the digital keys generated for a reservation, the reason for the revocation will be displayed when users hover over the Digital Key (DK) badge in the Reservation Summary section.
When digital keys are revoked, the Digital Key (DK) badge in the Reservation Summary section of the reservation will be highlighted in red and when users hover the badge, the status and the reason for the revocation will be displayed in the following format: Revoked: <reason for revocation>. For example, Revoked: Due to early check-out.
Expired/Revoked Key Icon
When the digital keys generated for a reservation are revoked or expired, the key revoked/expire icon highlighted in red is displayed for the reservation in the Search screen. When users hover over the icon, the following key status will be displayed:
-
Revoked <reason for revocation>
-
Expired
Undo Check-In of Reservations
When users perform an Undo Check-In for a reservation after the digital keys are generated, the keys will not be revoked automatically. The digital key status will continue to show as Issued in the Key section of the reservation, but the Digital Key (DK) badge and the key revoked/expire icon will be highlighted in red and when users over the badge and icon, the status will be displayed as Expired.
Undo Check-Out of Reservations
The digital keys generated for a reservation will expire when the reservation is checked out and the digital key status will be updated to Expired in the Key section, the Digital Key (DK) badge, and the key revoked/expire icon. When an Undo Check-Out is performed, new keys must be manually generated for the reservation. Once the new key is issued, the key status will be updated to Issued. A record is created in the Audit Log screen and Reservation History section when new keys are generated.
Modify Room Number of Reservations
When the room assigned to a reservation is modified, the previously generated keys will not be revoked automatically. New keys must be generated after the room number is updated. A record is created in the Audit Log screen and Reservation History section when new keys are generated.
