Room

The room number and housekeeping status can be viewed and edited using this option.

Navigate to Reservation Summary à Room Number.

Click on the pre-assigned room number and the room number dialog box appears.

Overview

Select the Overview tab. This tab displays the room number, number of beds, room classification, floor number and an option to request for a room service. Housekeeping services are used to define and manage the work items needed to service rooms on the property. Most properties define the service types and schedule for housekeeping and maintenance when they set up their property. To request a room service, follow the below set of instructions.

Select the Request Service button at the bottom-right corner of the screen. The Request Service dialog box appears.

Please go through the below table and fill in the fields to request services.

Field

Description

Area

The area is the identifier that ties rooms or public spaces together. If Room field is selected as the Area, select the Room where the service is requested.

Building

The name of the building in the property.

Room

A unique identifier of the room.

Category

The category of the housekeeping service.

  • HK (Housekeeping)

  • MT (Maintenance)

  • HKG (Guest Service Request)

Service

The service type of the housekeeping service. For example, if Maintenance is selected:

  • Electrical

  • Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning

  • Plumbing

  • Other

Notes

The description about the service required. The description is limited to 100 characters.

Severity

The severity of the service.

  • Minor - Low priority request that is not urgent.

  • Normal – Default Medium priority request that may have a time limit.

  • Urgent - Requires immediate attention.

Status

A status shows the progress of the service request. By default, the Status of service requests are automatically New. After the request is entered, the Status can be changed to reflect the progress of the request.

Resource

The resource of the service.

Click Done. The request for the service is raised successfully.

Features

The features tab shows all the features related with that specific room. The user cannot add or remove a feature, but if the guest requests, he/she can upgrade the room as per the requirements of the guest.

HK Status

The user can now see and change the room's House Keeping (HK) status. Click the HK Status dropdown box and select the appropriate status from the list of options to modify the room's status.

Current Day History

This option presents an overview of all types of activities and events that occurred in that specific room during the day, including the time of the activity, the type of activity, and the user who performed the activity, if any.
