Display Group Component Rates in Groups

Stay is enhanced to display the pricing type indicator for the components added to a group. The component rates are applied to reservations based on the frequency, applicable for, quantity, rate, and pricing type defined in the package.

An Included/Excluded indicator is displayed next to each component added to a group. The mandatory included and excluded components added to a group will be added to the reservations booked for the group.

The group package rate is calculated as follows: Package Rate = Room Rate + Mandatory Included Components + Mandatory Excluded Components. The group package rate is displayed with an accordion. When the accordion is expanded, users can view the room rate and the components.

The room rate of the group reservations is calculated as follows: Room Rate = Group Package Rate - Included Components. Users must be able to view the room type and the charges associated with the room rate.

Users cannot delete the included components from the Estimated Charges section of reservations. When the add-ons added to a group contains included components, the add-on cannot be deleted from the package.

When users modify a reservation, the total rate of the group package (room rate + included component + excluded component) will be displayed in the Modify Stay screen.

Modify Rates in Estimated Charges Section

When users adjust the room rate of the reservation from the Estimated Charges section, the total rate of the group package is updated accordingly.

Sample Scenario

Consider the following configurations of a package rate plan:

  • Package rate = $150.00

  • Room rate = $50.00

  • Dinner (Included) = $50.00

  • Breakfast (Included) = $50.00

When the room rate is adjusted from $50 to $20, the total rate of the package is recalculated as follows:

  • Package rate = $120.00

  • Room rate = $20.00

Only the package and room rates are updated. The rates of the components remain unchanged.

Modify Rates of Components

When the rates of the components (included/excluded) are modified in the Estimated Charges section, the rate of the package increases or decreases based on the adjustment made.

Sample Scenario

Consider the following configurations of a package rate plan:

  • Package rate = $150.00

  • Room rate = $50.00

  • Dinner (Included) = $50.00

  • Breakfast (Included) = $50.00

When the rate of the included component is modified as $30, the rates are adjusted as follows:

  • Package rate = $120.00

  • Room rate = $50.00

  • Dinner (Included) = $30.00

  • Breakfast (Included) = $50.00

Users can only modify the rates of the components and not the quantity.

Routing Rule

Routing rules associated with a reservation must be applied to both the room rate and components of the package. Charges are routed to the source destination as defined in the routing rule. The room rate and component rates are displayed in the Guest/Routed tabs of the Estimated Charges section of the reservations.

Add-On Badge

The count of the add-ons added as part of the package are displayed on the add-on badge displayed in the Estimated Charges section of the reservation. Add-Ons with both included and excluded components are considered in this count. The type of component (Included/Excluded) is displayed beside each component.
