Display of Component Update Confirmation Screen in Groups

Stay is enhanced to display the Component Update Confirmation pop-up screen to update reservations in the In-House status and the existing future group reservations for the following scenarios:

• Modifications to the group package components that must be updated in the reservations.

• Updates in components which will impact the group package rate, room rate, and components rate/count.

• Charges for the group package components will be recalculated in the Estimated Charges section for the unposted charges.

• Changes in fixed, allowance, and add-on components are updated in the existing reservations based on the updates made in the group package.

Change in Pricing Type of Components

When users modify the pricing type of components added to a group package and choose to apply the changes to the existing reservations, the following updates are performed:

• The pricing type indicator displayed for the component in the Estimated Charges section is updated.

• The room rate of the group package is recalculated.

• The total group package rate is recalculated.

Consider the following configurations of components added to the group package with a base rate of $150:

When the pricing type of the component, Breakfast, is modified as Excluded, the package rates are recalculated as follows:

• Group package rate = $190

• Room rate = $110

• Dinner (included) = $40

• Breakfast (excluded) = $40

Change in Frequency of Components

When users modify the frequency of components added to a group package and choose to apply the changes to the existing package reservations, the components are reapplied to the reservations based on the updated frequency.

Consider the following configurations of components added to the group package with a base rate of $150:

When the frequency of the component, Breakfast, is modified as First Night, the package rate, room rate, and component rates are recalculated as follows:

First Night of Stay

• Group package rate = $150

• Room rate = $70

• Dinner (included) = $40

• Breakfast (included) = $40

Second Night of Stay

• Group package rate = $110

• Room rate = $70

• Dinner (included) = $40

Change in Rates of Components

When users modify the rates of components added to a group package and choose to apply the changes to the existing reservations, the updated component rate will be applied to the reservation.

Consider the following configurations of components added to the group package with a base rate of $150:

• Dinner (included) = $40

• Breakfast (included) = $50

Change in Applicable For Option of Components

When users update the Applicable For option configured for the components of a group package and choose to apply the changes to the existing reservations, the components are reapplied to the group package rate plan based on the updated option.

• Group package rate = $130

• Room rate = $70

• Dinner (included) = $40

• Breakfast (included) = $20

Addition or Removal of Components

When users add or remove the components added to a group package choose to apply the changes to the existing reservations, the group package rate, room rate, and component rate are recalculated accordingly.

When a component is added to a group package, it is added to the existing reservations and when the component is removed, it is removed from the existing reservations, and the group package rate is recalculated.
