Retain Share Set after Unassigning Room Number

Stay is enhanced to allow users to unassign the room assigned to a shared reservation from the following screens without breaking the share set:

  • Batch Operations ➜ Batch Edit and Batch Check-In

  • Tape Chart

  • Groups

Only the selected reservation will be unassigned from the room. Previously, when users attempted to unassign, the room assigned to a shared reservation, the operation was not processed successfully, and users were restricted from retrying the unassign action.

When a user attempts to unassign a room for shared reservations, the reservation status within the entire share set will be evaluated:

When all the reservations in the share set are in the Arriving or Reserved status:

  • The operation will not be processed successfully.

  • But the checkbox will remain enabled to allow users to perform a retry.

Only users with the required permissions can perform a retry. When users do not have the required permission, users will be prompted to authorize their credentials.

When any one of the reservations in the share set is in the In-House status,

  • The operation will not be processed successfully.

  • The checkbox will remain disabled.

  • The user will not be allowed to retry the unassign action.

  • The following error message will be displayed: One or more reservations in the shared set are currently In-House and cannot be unassigned.

When users attempt to unassign the room from the Tape Chart screen, and when all the reservations in the share set are in the Arriving or Reserved status:

  • The Unassign option will be displayed when the user clicks on a shared reservation in the Tape Chart screen.

  • Upon clicking Unassign, a Confirmation pop-up screen will be displayed.

  • Once confirmed, the room will be unassigned as per the existing functionality.

When any reservation is in the In-House status, the Unassign option will not be displayed, and the following message will be displayed: One or more reservations in the shared set are currently In-House and cannot be unassigned.
